Located high in a peaceful hamlet on the border of the Peak District National Park, this splendid country house and cottage command spectacular views from almost every window. Oak beams, log-burning stove and period features combine with all modern equipment (including WiFi) to make a memorable stay in great comfort. Large private garden and off-road parking. Walks from the door: local or up to 30 miles off-road, and easy access to Buxton, Bakewell, Chatsworth and all the main attractions of the Peak District. Station for trains to Manchester and Sheffield nearby. Rare-breed sheep and hens on the owners’ adjoining farm: meat and eggs usually available.
Brookcliff House is the tall, 18th century Georgian house in the photo with its integrated 17th century chapel seen to its left and Brookcliff Cottage attached to the right. Brookcliff House accommodates up to thirteen or fourteen persons in comfort and Brookcliff Cottage accommodates a further two or three persons. The cottage is not rented separately but is available for larger groups. As a result, we can let the House alone to groups of up to 12-14 at a lower price than for House and Cottage together.
Brookcliff is suitable for children and for persons of limited mobility and is available for holiday rentals throughout the year.
